WEATHER CONDITIONS
If you're here in South America there is a constant difference in seasons. The weather is usually moderate, temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees. Dress in layers and you will be comfortable.
WHAT TO PACK FOR HUNTING
- Shooting Vest: A Cabela's or mesh Tanglemaster half vest (Item #4, 355% – List 32%) is the recommended choice for comfort and convenience during your hunt.
- Shooting Eyewear: Bring both sunglasses and safety glasses suitable for different lighting and weather conditions.
- Ear Protection: Use quality ear protection and shooting gloves to protect your hands from a hot gun barrel.
- Clothing & Gear: Wear lightweight, weather-appropriate clothing that provides full-body protection while allowing you to move comfortably in the field.
TYPICAL DOVE HUNT DAY
- 6:00 – 6:30am – Wake Up Call
- 7:00am – Breakfast
- 8:00 – 8:30am – Leave for Field Hunt (Don’t forget your field backpack with your hunting gear.)
- 8:30 – 9:00am – Travel to hunting field. The trip will usually take around 30 minutes. Shooting continues until lunchtime or until you or the group wants to stop and return to the lodge for lunch.
- 12:00 – 1:00pm – Lunch
- 1:00 – 3:00pm – Brief siesta following lunch
- 3:00 – 4:00pm – Leave for the hunting field for the evening hunt. The evening hunt usually continues until dark or until everyone in the group is finished.
- Dinner – Dinner is served one to two hours after returning to the lodge after the evening hunt.
BEVERAGES
- Open Bar: An open bar is available where you can make your favorite drinks.
- Whiskey: Some whiskeys can be difficult to find in Argentina. If you would like a special blend, check the duty-free store before leaving the airport.
- Drinks in the Field: Beer, soda, and bottled water will be provided while in the field.
- Lodge Water: The water at the lodge is usually safe to drink, but please inquire first.
TRAVELING
- Departure Airports: Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
- Recommended Airport: Miami International Airport is recommended because I live in Miami Beach, just a 25-minute drive from the airport. If your scheduled flight is delayed or anything unexpected happens, I am nearby and available to help.
- Flight Duration: The flight from Miami to Argentina is approximately 9.5 hours.
- Enjoy Miami: Many clients spend most of the day traveling just to reach their departure airport. Why not break up the trip and enjoy what Miami has to offer, including beach life, fine dining, and charter fishing trips?
- Offshore Fishing: I am a licensed offshore fishing guide and offer hourly and daily fishing trips from Miami Beach.
- VIP Charter Upgrade: All auction bid winners who choose to book an offshore fishing trip are automatically upgraded to VIP Charter status, a $250 value.
- VIP Benefits: VIP status includes beer, soda, and water. At the end of your fishing day, a meal is prepared with your catch for dinner.
- Dinner: Your dinner will be prepared by Chef Jaime or myself at my waterfront home on Miami Beach.
- Fishing Options: Interested in kite fishing for sailfish, tuna, or dolphin? Just ask Captain Bryan what’s biting.

- Ground Transportation: Travel between the Buenos Aires International and Domestic Airports takes approximately 1 hour by road.
IDENTIFICATION
Starting October 2020, you are required to carry two forms of identification, such as a valid passport and a federally accepted ID card or driver’s license. Please verify that your driver’s license is compliant with current federal regulations before traveling.
COMMUNICATION
- WhatsApp: The most commonly used form of communication is WhatsApp. It is a free app that is easy to download on both iPhone and Android devices.
- International Calling: International calling services are not commonly used by locals in Argentina.
- Verizon Plans: Verizon international calling plans cost approximately $10 per day or $60 per month, and service areas may be limited.
- Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is available almost everywhere in the city and is also available at the lodge.

- Credit Cards: Inform your credit card company about your travel plans to avoid any issues when using your bank or credit cards while traveling abroad.

GUN RENTAL & SHELL COSTS
- Gun Rental for Hunters: $65 per day.
- Gun Rental for Non-Hunters: $250 per day. This includes lodging, food, and drinks. Non-hunters are allowed to accompany the hunting group as long as they do not participate in the hunt.
- Shells: $13 per box of 25 shells.
SUGGESTED GRATUITY
- Bird Boys Gratuity: $50 per day is recommended.
- House Staff Gratuity: $50 per day is recommended.
VIP PACKAGE
- VIP Package: A one-time charge of $50 per person includes airport reception by our staff, free ground transportation between the international and domestic airports in Buenos Aires, and ground transportation to and from the lodge.
- Arrival Night: Free lodging for the arrival night, including appetizers, dinner, and drinks.
- Additional Pigeons: 50 additional pigeons are added to your limit on the first day of your pigeon hunt.
OPTIONAL HUNTS
- Pigeon Hunt Day #1: $750 per day, which includes a limit of 250 pigeons per hunter. The VIP package adds an additional 50 pigeons to your daily limit, for a total of 300 pigeons. Free unlimited dove limits are included with your pigeon hunt.
- Multi-Day Pigeon Hunts: $700 per day, which includes a daily limit of 300 pigeons. Free unlimited dove limits are included with your pigeon hunts.
- Pigeon Hunting Recommendation: Pigeons are challenging to shoot. I recommend hunting doves for 3 days before your pigeon hunt. Taking a day of rest between dove and pigeon hunting will ensure you are rested and your shooting is sharp before your pigeon hunt.
- Additional Hunting Options: Captain Bryan can provide pricing for Red Stag, Argentina Boar, Duck, and Predator hunts.
- Fishing Options: Trout fishing (fly fishing or spinning tackle) and Dorado fishing are also available.
ARGENTINA ENTERTAINMENT
- Entertainment & Food: Buenos Aires offers entertainment for everyone. Argentina is especially well known for its amazing food and some of the best steaks in the world.
- Town Square & Architecture: Buenos Aires is an historic city with a beautiful Town Square. The city square is worth visiting, especially La Catedral, the Catholic church, which is a stunning example of Argentine architecture.
- Leather District: Argentina is known for its high-quality leather products. The leather district is approximately six square blocks and is a great place to shop for leather coats, gifts, and other leather goods. Important: The leather district is closed on Sundays.
- Shopping: If your wife or girlfriend is accompanying you on the trip, consider booking an extra day for shopping and exploring the Town Square and leather district.
- Nightlife: Buenos Aires has an amazing nightlife scene with clubs and bars for drinking and dancing. Due to the local Latin culture, nightlife starts late, with clubs typically opening around 1:00 a.m. and closing around 5:00 a.m.
- Tours & Transportation: Tour guides, accommodations, transportation, and other arrangements can be organized by Captain Bryan through Diego, the owner of the hunting estancia, if you would like to explore Buenos Aires nightlife.
